REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: My Brother (Colby) and I had plans to go shooting squrrels that afternoon, so we choose our favorite spot. We packed all of our gear and headed out. It was a nice day, not a cloud in the sky. "The squrrels will be everywhere today Colb." We pulled up to the bottom of the clear cut and unloaded. the clear cut we're in is a good 5 acres. We made our walk to the top where we usually turn around and head back for the truck. Of course my brother and I were firing away on the walk up at squrrels the whole time. We both heard it but we didn't say anything until it did it again. The sound was close to 75 to a 100 yards away. Across a little creek and up a slope. Up in the timber we could hear something hitting two rocks together and wresteling around making noise. You could tell this was no squrrel but something large and heavy. We could here it's heavy foot steps make thuds in the ground. This went on for 3 minutes before we turned and went the other way quickly as possible. Colby and i both felt that something was watching us that day. We'll be back for him later. Not to mention the excellent squrrel hunting.
