Location: From Portland, take highway 26 east to the Timothy Lake exit, then you'll travel down a road that's about 5 miles long and on the left hand side of the road there will be a sign that says "Joe Graham Horse Camp". Thats where we stayed.

REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: My friend and I were camping near Timothy lake. We had been there for 3 nights already, but on the fourth night we were lying in our tent trying to go to sleep, when out of nowhere we saw the shadow of a very tall and very hairy creature standing about 6 feet from our tent. (we could see it clearly because it was between our tent and our campfire that wasn't all the way out)It was leaning out from behind a tree and every time one of us would move it would retreat back behind the tree, that happened a couple of times so I wanted to see what it was so I quietly got the flashlight ready and unzipped the tent, the next time it leaned out far enough for me to see it I jumped out of the tent and looked its direction, while I did that it hid back behind the tree so I got back into the tent and I tried the same thing again, and agian it hid behind the tree, but this time when I layed back down and got quiet, the creature ran past our tent into the woods behind us.
