Location:
Our trolling motor died in the lake that day. We had to drift to the shore of lower myakka lake. We then started hiking out through some dense terrain. We ended up losing our way. we opted to follow a fence line we could here something to our right. I though it could be a wild pig. I started throwing rocks and shells ahead of us to scare away any pigs that might attack us. I threw a rock ahead when we got near were i threw it a rock came from our right side missing us by a few feet. You have never seen two boys run so fast. we made it to the main rd that night at 2:00 am. The county was looking for us. We were scolded by the park rangers. They had quite the search party looking for us. I know something was following us that evening. 1 year later i believe a photo was taken of a skunk ape. This is the same area. Go figure. I go down there all the time. I keep my eyes open. Havn't seen anything yet.
