Description of event: It was February of 2003, about 2:30 in the morning (give or take a few minutes). I was had just gone to bed and was just falling asleep when I heard the most GOD AWFUL sound. I can only say that it lasted 3-4 seconds and was like a VERY low growl with a high pitched over tone. At first I thought I just heard an animal get hit by a car (as we are right next to a freeway) but then it occurred to me that I heard NO SQUEALING TIRES! I have stayed up late trying to hear it again to no avail. It sounded like a woman being BRUTALLY murdered. With as much as it scared me, I ALMOST want to hear it again. Just so I know I am not crazy.
The fear that sound instilled in me is nothing like I have ever felt before. It was what I would call shear primal fear. The fear prey feels when it hears a predator. The feeling of not being the top of the food chain anymore!
