REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: My son and I were out bear hunting, down a old skidder road that cut through hard rock and cliff. We went about 500yrds and sat down over looking a steep valley.About 20 minutes later I felt something hit me on the side of the right leg.I saw the rock roll in front of me,so I turned around and I told my son to stop throwing rocks, and then nother small rock hit my son on the side of the head.My son got up and I turned to get my back pack when I was hit again.I pulled my 300 mag rifle around and put it to my shoulder.I told my son do not move.I slowly worked my way up to him and as I worked my way up a strong odor was in the air.It was coming from behind us in the thick dense dark trees behind us.My son said dad lets get out of here. We left looking BEHIND US ALL THE WAY.NO B.S
