Location: Comming from Ellicott City towards Catonsville on Fredrick Rd. Turn onto River Rd. The sighting occured about 1/2 mile down the road.

Description of event: A friend and me were driving around like we normally do when we get bored. We drove through Ellicott City and decided we should head home. Instead of taking Fredrick Rd. home I decided to take some backloads. River Rd. is a road that we normally drive down so I decided to drive past the river on the way back. About a 1/2 mile after I turned onto the road I saw something out of the corner of my eye in the woods on my left side. Next thing I know I am slamming on my breaks trying to avoid hitting something. Now I am use to slamming on my breaks to avoid deer so I stopped about 25 feet from what walked out into the road. When I stopped I looked up to see a 7-8 foot tall ape like creature. It had long brown hair all over its body. It stopped in the middle of the road and looked towards my car then continued to walk across the road. It crossed the road and walked into the river and then I lost sight of it. My friend saw the exact same thing that I saw. We were very interested in what we saw that night and ever since that night we drive down that road to try and see what we saw again. The land surrounding where we were is all owned by Patapsco state park. When I was a little kid I was told stories about Bigfoot and I never believed it was true. That all changed that night.
