REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: During hunting season, headed to a clearcut before first light. What we thought was a bear at first came down the bank to the right of the truck onto the road directly in front of us (approx 10 yards away) stopped looked over and then took off down the bank on the opposite side of the road. Several distinct things to me were the fact that its eyes were bright yellow (from the headlights) which usually indicates a predator i.e. cougar's bobcat's wolve's ect. Also it moved at a high rate of speed down the mountain as soon as my friend began to exit the truck. By high rate of speed I mean inhuman, like a scared elk or something, and it was pretty steep terrain.
