REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: We were told there was some fishing in these lakes and ponds, at Logan Wildlife Conservation and Whiteside Conservation property. So one hot and humid day my husband and I decided to go for a ride and check things out. It was very creepy driving the dirt road, no one in site. Very still and quiet. While driving down the road I said to my husband "well, where are these lakes and ponds?" shortly after, we saw a yellow sign with a number on it{ I believe it was #6)and another sign saying no parking beyond this point. So we got out and started our little hike on this dirt path that led down through the woods to this small pond. On our way down I said to my husband look at this large foot print, kidding I said, I wonder if its bigfoot. The dirt was like a red clay. So here we are standing at the breast of the pond and directly behind us was a slope of a hill that went into a ravine.

The woods in Missouri are very dense, you can't see too good through it, at least where we were. Well being so quiet my husband was recording nature sounds of the birds and cadiedids. We both were facing the pond and I was looking through binoculars. With in a few minutes about 25 feet from behind us, we hear this strong breathing, like that of a human, except several thousand times louder. We hear growling, grunting, snarling, and breaking of tree branches, and I don't mean twigs, they sounded to be 2-3 inches in diameter. The growls were very, very, guttural. Like when hearing a lion roar like the roar coming through a large hollow chest. To be honest, just like a large gorrilla would make. I slowing put the binoculars down and slightly turned my head toward my husband and whispered to him " do you hear that?" and he said yes and were out of here,he took off running up the hill, of course without wife, and was already up near the car. I said, well wait for me, for I didn't want what ever it was to come running after me knowing I was scared, so I kind of walked briskly up the hill. We both were terrified! Too scared to look behind us to see what it was. I use to hunt and fish all the time and let me tell you "that was not your ordinally nature sound".

We got in the car and took off, I asked, did you get those sounds on the recorder? He said yes, I think so. So I played it back and I asked, don't that sound like a monkey? And my husband replied, no that sounds like a blanking GORRILLA! I said, lets go back, and he said, are you nuts?! I said, come on, where's your sense of adventure? And he said, in his pants. So we went back and we both were too scared to get out of the car, so I rolled down my window and stuck the tape recorder out it, hoping to pick up more sounds, for we kept hearing rustling sounds going on in the woods. Sadly to say from all the excitement I had tape over the first sounds we heard and recorded. I couldn't let this go, I was obsessed with this unknown creature.

I went home got on the internet and typed in bigfoot. I seen there was a bigfoot database saying where in the US and other countries that people witnessed sightings. Sure enough there were sightings of one not too far from where we were. So I seen that California, Oregon, and the state of Washington had the most sightings.

I had my husband take me to Oregon for vacation. On our way to find a motel near the ocean, and to stop at a place where there had been sightings of a bigfoot at a place called Saddle Mt. Well we headed up to Saddle Mt. up this paved logging road. At the top, was a camping area, I saw one RV and a tent pitched, and a red brick building where the rest rooms were. Very creepy, I must say. Finally after the fog drifted away we were able to see Saddle Mt. So we left and went to this small motel,in a small town called Seaside.

The next morning we went to have breakfast at the Best Western. The waitress asked us if we were enjoying our visit and I said well, we just got in last night and the only sight seeing we saw was Saddle Mt. She paused and gave us a weird look and said us locals don't go to Saddle Mt. I asked why? And you could tell she didn't want to say why? Then she said because of bigfoot. I asked her if she knew anyone who has ever seen one, saw prints, smelled one or even heard one? And she said her and her husband did. She told me they were on their way home late at night not far from Saddle Mt. when there it was standing next to a sign. She said, it was big and they are real. She told me her dad has alot of impressions he made, off these logging roads up there. So I ended up telling her about our little adventure. The next year, the month of January, when the snow melted and the ground became a little soft my husband and I went back to Logan wildlife cnservation. We were brave then, for there were no leafs on the trees, and we can see down in there, where we heard those sounds of growls and grunts and breaking of tree branches. So we walked down in the ravine and you could see the trees that this creature had broken off that day, plus we came across a very large hand print in the mud. I had some impression material that this dentist I worked for gave me a bunch of sample packets of. First I took pictures of it, then I poured the impression material in it. I sent this man named Jeff Medlum who is a anthropologist everything, the impressions, and the pictures. He sent me a letter back saying that the impression print looked like that of a gorilla he had been studing in the Salt Lake City Zoo. I have more to talk about and of people who had strange experiences, but I already talked and said so much and Im sorry, but I just get so excited when I touch on this subject of bigfoot. I guess if a person doesn't have any experiences of it, it sounds boring to them, but it sure left a mark with me. And I'll never forget it. I truely believe in bigfoot and all you skepticals out there, should too, for I was in your shoes once never believing, and always skeptical. But it's like that waitress said, they are big and they are real.
