REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: My brother and I were camped by a lake. Just after sundown we started hearing branches being broken every thirty seconds or so. There was only one other campsite with two men in it quite a ways from ours. I told my brother that these guys were gathering firewood, which I thought, was against to rules. I had seen no flashlights go by so that didn't make much sense; the others were in the opposite direction. We tried to think of another explanation. We thought that maybe a bear was doing it. It was so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of you face. If it was a bear it would have to have some reason to spent that much energy. Breaking branches in pitch dark doesn't very nutritious the branches sounded to be pretty good size; the snapping was loud, as if they were two or three inches in diameter at about fifty or less yard away. We sat there for hours listening and wondering what the hell was doing this. It wasn’t people it wasn't a bear; trees don't self-destruct hour after hour. So we concluded that is had to be Bigfoot. I told my brother who is six foot four and weighs around three hundred pounds that Bigfoot was worried that you were trying to take over his turf and was trying to scare us off.

At around twelve thirty I finally gave up and went is the van to go to sleep. My brother was out in the open on an air mattress.

The next morning I crawled out of the van to find blue jays and chipmunks dinning on Oreo cookies that were scattered all over our camp site. They had been in an unopened economy bag on the picnic table the night before along with an unopened bag of bread. Jim told me he was lying there around three thirty and something came running through the camp site took our stuff. A bear would eat the cookies and bread on the spot - they wouldn’t rip open the cookies and throw them all over.

I walked up the road about fifty yards and found the empty bread wrapper at one of the empty campsite. I also notice right out side of our camp was a two inch diameter branch broken straight down on the side of a tree; we hadn't heard any thing from that direction and it didn't look fresh. A human couldn't have snapped it off like that.

Well that’s my story! I go back there every year with digital and a camcorder. Two years ago I was there and found and videoed forty trees that had been torn out from the roots and some four or five inch trees snapped of at the eight to ten foot level (healthy live tree!) These trees were among thousands of other that had been untouched they were thrown across the road right in front of the forestry department locked pipe gate. I think Mr. foot put two and two together and made his own gate to keep Mr. ranger from going up his road.

Last summer the tree had been chain sawed and piled on the side of the road; I filmed that too. We travel from San Diego each year to film him. I told the reverend at our church this story and he said if someone is going to get a picture of one of them it might as well be me. So now I’m on mission from god!!
