Two soldiers see a tall creature walk by them at night

Time: pre dawn dark hours
Location: Bivowac site for traing purposes. About 1/2 mile from Nisqually River. We had constructed a three rope bridge across the river the day before.
REPORT DETAIL
Description of event: The night the sighting occurred another solider, and myself were in our foxhole posted for perimeter security when my buddy got my attention and asked me what the hell that was, meaning the creature that was walking in front of our position 25 yards or less in front of us.
We had great visibility this particular night with a full moon and a set of night vision goggles.
There was a faint musky odor but nothing like others claim to smell with their encounters.
The creature was about 7’to 8’ in height and walked with a slight hunch in its back. This thing had the biggest arms and legs I have ever seen. My buddy and I were the butt of jokes for quite a while after we reported this to our squad leader.
Sorry but it has been over 19 years since, and I cannot give you a better location of the sighting.
