REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: I lived in Mt. Shasta, California. My 1st job was with the U.S. Forest service. I’m now a law enforcement officer in Kentucky. I don’t care if anyone believes me or not but what I‘m telling you is the truth. I ran across this web site and thought for once, I would share something with people who care. I have seen Sasquatch on several occasions, however I will express to you the best I can my story.
The first time I saw it was in mid September around 2pm. Well while fishing there my friend and I noticed what we thought was a bear in the woods to the North West. The woods were thick so we guessed. We did smell some type of sour smell but we thought it was the pond. So we started down the hill on N. Shore Rd. Our goal was to head to a creek some 10 miles back. The creek we are talking about is where the water enters the lake from the smaller lakes above, however you won’t miss it for it will be the first creek you cross. I suggest you not cross the creek in a car. It would be wise to use a truck.
Anyways while walking we noticed something was following us and since we were used to the wildlife and running into bears often we did not scare. We did hear it make grunting sounds but then again bear can make such a sound as well. When we made it to the creek we sat down and ate our bag lunch we had along with our Shasta cola. When we were about done we heard a grunt noise and notice the smell coming back.
We were both down stream and, of course with us using common sense, we looked up stream and saw what looked to be a man in a gorilla suit. I told my friend I was not thrilled the thing was too close. When we saw it at first it was on its knees, but when it stood up it looked 10 feet tall. It started toward us and then started to make grunting noises. When it came about 15 yards to us I tossed our fish and my friend and I went to our knees so we would not be threatening towards it. A trick that worked well with bears and breaking wild horses. It ate the fish raw right there and then after a few minuets it walked away.
I went back several times and sometimes it was there and sometimes it was not. It never came close to me like it did the first time and I still left a fish on the rock after fishing whether I saw it or not. I saw it several times but can't remember how many times. Every time after the first, it stayed in the tree line but did walk down stream before hiding in the tree line about 40 to 50 yards from me. I would sometimes fish for about 3 to 6 hours on weekends.
I had a pretty common routine but after October till it got warm I did not fish nor visit the spot. I never told anyone nor did my friend. I never followed it for I feel if I did it would face me again like the first day. It made me feel like it was protecting its area and we invaded its bubble zone, however the fish I tossed I feel showed it we meant no harm and I’m sure it understood. Now one other thing, I have not seen just one but I’ve seen three. I saw one the 1st time, but after the 3rd or 4th I did see two other follow the 1st but they would never come close to me as the big one did. Not sure why at the time but looking back I would think they were not as sure of me as I was of them. That’s just nature.
I can give you more details on the area and land detail. I moved a few years before I was a senior at Mt. Shasta High. Hope this helps you in backing up the truth. I don’t feel they would be in any danger around there for if you have been around there and in the mountain area you would know that if you don’t know your way around then it's best not to wonder off. Fire look out points are a great way to see wild life. Best of luck.
