REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: My wife and I drove up to the Ape caves. I got out and was playing with my 18 month old son. I started to sing a piece from an opera so he could hear the echo. After a few minutes I heard a few loud "whoops" coming from the woods. At this time all the birds in the area stopped making any noise. My wife said "Hey, do a coyote call." So I howled like a coyote and we heard a few more "whoops" farther away. She then pick up a few pieces of wood and banged them together. We then we heard a loud grunt. We thought it could be elk, but the feeling in the air at this time was a little creepy. We then drove about a half mile away to the Trail of Two Forest. We were admiring some birds. We then heard a low grown and all the birds disappeared. We then decided to leave.
