Description of event: Some friends and I were going to Ocean Shores for the week end. I was driving my friend's car. My friend's son, 10 years old, who was with me, said nothing. The friends were in the motor home. I was following the motor home, (they knew where to go) about half a mile behind them, down a long shallow grade on Highway 12 through the woods. The highway was straight and clear for about 2 miles ahead. Half a mile ahead I saw a large black form walk across the highway looking forward the whole time. It was walking upright with a gait as a human's but at that distance I could see this thing was big. I've lived and camped around Washington all my life, this was no bear. The cars in front and behind where the "thing" walked, never stopped. I saw no brake lights to indicate that anyone else saw it.
