Location: I don't know the exact location on Althouse Creek Rd...But my father in law and I were panning for gold in the creek about 10 miles in from the beginning of the road. At this time he had a claim there.
REPORT DETAIL
Description of event: This lasted three nights in a row. The first night we were awakened by a very powerful scream. The only way I can describe it was it was like the sound of tires on the road coming to a screeching halt. Just like all the other Bigfoot stories, it was unlike anything I've ever heard and I know it wasn't a bear, cougar, elk, etc. It was very loud and lengthy and what caught my attention was it wasn't moving through the woods as a normal North American animal would. It was staying in one spot. It sounded to me like it was breaking tree limbs and rolling logs down a hill. This lasted about 10 minutes or so then it went away. This happened for the next two nights about the same time, but on days two and three it kept moving farther and farther away. Needless to say I was terrified but also interested and curious. I was too scared to get out of my tent so I just lied there and listened and hoped it wouldn't bother us.
