Close, daylight sighting of a Bigfoot west of Cullasaja Falls

Location: in between cliffside recreation area and bridal falls. The boulder at the scene was fairly distinct as none of the others were even half its size.

REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: I am 6'4" with a size 14W shoe to set the scale. I cannot say what it was I witnessed, but it was 10' away when I rounded a boulder in the Nantahala Forest Highlands near Cullasaja falls (west of them) Macon Co. N.C. Whatever it was stared at me for a moment then ran off into the woods. After I gathered my wits, I walked over to where it was standing and put my foot next to one of its tracks. My foot looked like a child's next to it. Its eye color was brown, the face struck me as a deformed man's face. The eyebrow area was too prominent, the jaw was too wide, and the head sloped drastically back from where the eye brow area jutted out. Its eyes were large and brown colored with off white to yellow outside the iris area, the face in generally thinly furred (dark brown), and the teeth reminded me more of a canine than a man though they were in the same general human shape. Standing in the area where it had stood it was clear the thing was at least better than 8' tall. Where I rounded the rock was above where it was standing in elevation, and estimated to be 2.5'. It was staring me level in the eye from that position. The gate of the thing reminded me of a mime trying to imitate a monkey, but not doing a good job of it. Of it all the thing I most remember was zero fear in those eyes, and the overall impression of intelligence.
