REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: My brother and I were hiking the Tam McArthur Rim area in the Three Sisters Wilderness. We were well off the main beaten path and planned to backpack around for a couple of days. We came across a few snow banks. One bank however we came across had multiple barefoot prints in them. We both thought at 6000 ft barefoot in the snow, what the heck? Neither of us wear huge shoes, my brother is a size ten at best, but he was wearing his hiking boots which are quite large with the padding and sole. These prints were easily 8 inches longer and much wider. Now accounting for some snow melt these tracks could have melted away and be larger but the question still remains who is walking around at 6000 ft barefooted in the snow? That is one brave hiker/hippie or a bigfoot.
