Screams heard at Mosquito Lake

Location: Mosquito lake in the Monashee mountains of BC near Nakusp BC. I guess it must have came from straight accross the west side of the lake from the campsite about half a mile away from us.

Description of event: We usually camp at least twice per year in multiple lakes in the mountains accross the Arrow Lakes from Nakusp for many years. I was about 15 yrs old at the time with 5 other very experienced wilderness people. We knew nobody else was around because we had to winch our selves through snow covered dirt roads to Mosquito Lake... We had just put out the fire and went into the tents and started chatting to each other between three tents... about 20 minutes had gone by when we started to hear this deafening blood curdling scream! it lasted for about 20-30 seconds... We guessed it was half a mile away but it echoed like you would not believe! We were scared shitless! after it stopped we all said "what the hell was that!" We know what bears, cougars, owls, ect sounded like because we had heard them many times before... It was very different and I never heard anything like it again.. and I work in the wilderness all the time looking for oil/gas.. so I hear stuff all the time.. but NOTHING like that night at Mosquito Lake.. I wish I could have recorded it... Funny how ten years later I was searching for Bigfoot sounds and those screams I heard online are EXACTLY the same thing... and my friend who was with me that night camping confirms those sounds too....
